VISITING FOR A DISCOVERY SESSION?
If you’re visiting us for a free Discovery session, we’ll discuss what areas are troubling or painful to you and what that ailment prevents you from doing. We would like to know your goals and to answer any questions you have about physical therapy and how we can help you reach your goals. We’ll share with you what our plan would be for addressing your problem and helping you achieve mobility and function to do all the things you love.
VISITING FOR A FULL TREATMENT APPOINTMENT?
If you’re visiting us for a full treatment appointment, your initial evaluation will include a review of your medical history and a discussion of your current complaints and concerns. Then we’ll get down to business and put our hands on you to test how well your joints are moving and begin identifying your trouble areas.
Our techniques may include:
Joint Mobilization/Manipulation
Muscle Energy Technicque (MET)
Myofascial Release (MFR)
Propioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation
Soft Tissue Mobilization (STM)
Strain-Counterstrain
Trigger Point Release
These techniques are all about the hands-on movement of your joints and soft tissue. Don’t worry! We’ll provide plenty of time for you to ask questions concerning your condition and our findings.
You may experience additional soreness after your initial visit. This soreness is not uncommon and is a natural part of dealing with the root cause of your problem. Remember that in order to gain valuable information during your evaluation, you may have been asked to move in ways that you have been avoiding for weeks, months, or years!
If you ever experience excessive soreness or pain following a treatment, your therapist should be contacted immediately. By utilizing your consistent feedback, we can continue to adjust your treatments to maximize your progress.
